MBC09 is a two day user generated meeting about microblogging

It has a mashup format of conference and barcamp (What is a barcamp?)

MBC09 is Europe’s first microblogging conference

When is it?

Schedule of the first day, January 23, 2009:

Doors open at January 23, 2009 08:00 am, registration and coffee

Conference starts with welcome and first keynote at 10:00 am

Welcome: Cem Basman, MBC09 (15′)

Keynote: Evan Prodromou, Control Yourself (15′)

Keynote: Sören Stamer, CoreMedia (15′)

Keynote: Sarik Weber, cellity (15′)

Session planning (barcamp style) for first day starts at 11:00 am:

First, session proposals from sponsors and partners (T-Mobile, SaschaLobo.com, Twhirl, cirip.ro, identi.ca, Bleeper, Twingly, communote), short session intro, time planning

Second, all other session proposals from the audience, short session intro, time planning

First sessions start at 12:00 am, two tracks, all sessions 30′ each

Lunch break at 12:30 am

Continue sessions at 14:00 pm, two tracks, all sessions 30′ each

Panel I: “State and future of microblogging” at 17:00 pm

First conference day ends at approx. 18:00 pm

Doors close for first day at the venue at 19:00 pm

Party opens at 20:00 at a venue nearby (open end)

Schedule of the second day, January 24, 2009:

Doors open at January 23, 2009 09:00 am, registration

Session planning (barcamp style) for second day starts at 10:00 am:

First, session proposals from sponsors and partners who didn’t make a session on the first day, short session intro, time planning

Second, all other session proposals from the audience, short session intro, time planning

First sessions start at 10:30 am, two tracks, all sessions 30′ each

Panel II: “Twitter im Journalismus” at 11:30 am (in German)

Lunch break at 12:30 am

Continue sessions at 14:00 pm, two tracks, all sessions 30′ each

End of Conference  at the venue at 18:00 pm

Doors close at 19:00 pm

All sessions from the atrium will be covered by video live stream (URL tbd)

    Ist es eigentlich in Deutschland normal, dass man von Marketingfuzzis als Freiwild angesehen wird, nur weil man sich für einen Event wie die MBC09 angemeldet hat? Also ich finde das nicht normal.
